Certain people don't want to believe that humans are causing this huge environmental problem, so they spread a lot of misinformation to try and confuse people. But if you just get your information from scientific sources, it's not that difficult to understand.I've summarized the science in the first link below, so I recommend checking that out. The short answer is that natural factors cannot account for the recent global warming.As for Obama, he's already said that climate change is one of his top priorities, so I'm guessing you're right that these essays won't be sent to him. Protest, boycott or do whatever to stop technology from destroyng us. 150 temperature, disease, droughts, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. will happen if we dont stop polluting!!!
Agustina Stimmel: You're right to be confused as "Global Warming" is a political, not scientific issue. No one knows if it will be warmer or colder in the future. They can only give you their opinion.If people want to reduce carbon, then we could start building Nuclear Power Plants to replace coal, however this isn't the goal. The goal is to reduce available power to a time in the 1950's.
Jamika Gregorio: Global warming is something for the deluded left. It doesn't exist in any significant way so it would be tough to write about getting rid of it. Saving energy is a good thing and you could focus on that or maybe the renewable energy sources like solar or wind powwer. They're still a good thing to reduce the dependence on foreign oil.

It was never based on reasonable scientific evidence and it was never the intention of its promoters to solve any sort of real problem. Recently, the true cause (differences in sun activity) of global temperature change was discovered. There can be no doubt anymore. Greenhouse gases (such that they are) do NOT cause climate change. There is no correlation. Sun activity does....it has near perfect correlation and predictive ability. For example, you may have noticed that it's getting colder and colder every year. There is a reason for that. Our sun is going through a cycle that will probably last for a couple of decades where it is less active than before. It's getting colder, as a result. How cold? Already, global temperatures are under what they were before the advent of the industrial revolution (when humanities collective carbon footprint started to rise above zero)....and i! t's going to get ALOT colder than that. Global warming as a theory won't last too long as that happens.Global warming proponents know the theory is incorrect. It's a trick to try and get the democratic nations of the world to stop producing in order to "save the planet". They hope that various communist nations will then have a chance to catch up and then take over the world. Almost everyone who works in education is part of that crap. Something you should be very aware of as you interact with your teachers, especially as you go to college. They aren't there to teach you. They are there to indoctrinate you into something sick. Resist them. Learn the truth of things. When you grow up, help to kick those assholes out of education.Anyway, the warning is, don't write a paper telling the truth about global warming.
