Cletus Makler: i've got been to a pair Wizard comedian cons in Philly and that they have got been all rather good (neglected it this 365 days although). some years have been mind-blowing and many years have been in simple terms ok. numerous comedian distributors, action figures, and celebrities signing autographs & such each 365 days. yet from what I pay attention the San Diego comedian Con is in many circumstances like the bigger one in all of the two...kinda like the Superbowl of comedian cons (a minimum of that's what G4 might have you ever suspect). yet yeah i could wager the San Diego one is the bigger one and that they are the two probable from 2 diverse agencies. i'm making it my challenge to circulate to a destiny San Diego one (with a bit of luck next 365 days). yet nevertheless i could say in case you would be unable to circulate to the San Diego comedian con actual circulate to the Wizard international one if it includes your section. you will no longer be apol! ogetic approximately it....Show more
Alden Soldano: Organization and guests.Anime Expo runs like clockwork. They get top industry people to show up, have lots of fascinating speakers and events, present very interesting animes and there is always something to do.Fanime! doesn't get the same type of draw and one always gets the feeling that the people in charge are having a hard time keeping things running smoothly and under control. Also, who is in the vendor's room? I mean, this is one reason I go: access to items that I may not see in my part of the galaxy....Show more
Cassondra Vanholland: Size and scope. The smallest cons concentrate mainly on comic book, the larger one on anything dealing with fantasy and science fiction. The two that you mention are both London based comic cons. I'm not familiar with either. I assume they were put together by different people, so the basis for the cons are different. Most comic cons have comic book dealers and may have guest! s from the comic book industry. If they are a really small com! ic con, there may be no guests at all. A lot of comic cons will have some sort of viewing area for cartoons and anime. Larger comic cons will have guests from a few different comic book publishers (artists and writers usually). Sometimes guests from other media are present (books, TV, Movies). The dealer room is also larger with a larger variety of vendors. At the largest comic cons, you will find a lot more. More celebrities from the comic book industry and from other media. There will be a lot of different talks and seminars, and panel discussions. Movie previews and some have 24 hour video viewing. There is a lot more that goes on at the largest cons. If you are interested it's better that you actually go to one, at least once....Show more
