is wonder bread vegan?

Merna Fauset: No, I do not believe white wonder bread is vegan. If i'm correct I think it contains whey and maybe some other dairy products. Read the ingredients and look for allergen information at the bottom it will say if it contains dairy and such. But, you're not out of the woods yet. They may list dairy products and such but there are plenty of other products that are derived from animals that most people cant even pronounce.Check this out, I hope it helps.http://www.happycow.net/health-animal-ingredients.......Show more

Brittanie Zakutney: I uaually go with the bread that is by the bakery. It typically only has like 4 ingrediets, all of which I am familiar with, and know for certain are vegan. The whole grain bread tastes just as good in my opinion, and is better for you. I don't typically even trust bread anymore with a bunch of ingredients I can't pronounce. It kind of makes me wonder what they all are...

Robt Heemstra: White bread is not good for you! . They bleach white breads. So i would try for a wheat bread.

Kate Baune: This Site Might Help You.RE:is wonder bread vegan?i have recenty become vegan and i was wondering if the white wonder bread is vegan ?

Kirk Coolbeth: Wonder Bread is not vegan because it contains sodium stearoyl lactylate. NOTE: Whenever you're looking at an ingredient list, and a word begins with "lact" it almost assuredly comes from milk (lactose, lactic acid, etc.).Wonder bread may also not be vegan because it contains mono and diglycerides. These may or may not be animal-derived, but no one can tell when they're listed like that, with no qualifiers.Funny enough, PETA considers wonder bread, and many other food items, to be vegan, if they only contain trace amounts of animal products (such as a tiny amount of animal-derived mono and diglycerides, for example). I don't support PETA, but I understand where they're coming from, even though I generally avoid products where I know animal! products are used, no matter how seemingly insignificant the ! amount. No one is 100% vegan. So the "vegan police" are out there claiming their 99% veganism is oh so much more superior to others' 97 or 98% veganism. There's a point where it gets a little ridiculous and self-serving....Show more

Germaine Tieken: No, but Twinkies are.

Roosevelt Pendill: go to the websitesveganpetaspread the word about saving animals......

Babette Deloe: 1

Betsey Muehlbach: Twinkies are not vegan... liar. But yeah I'm pretty sure Wonder Bread isn't vegan. But if you get the Great Value brand (which can be found in Wal-mart and maybe even other places) or Nature's Own Bread 100% Whole Wheat, they're both vegan breads. It's not common to find white bread that is vegan due to added milk in the bread, and in brown breads they tend to put honey. However the white Great Value bread is vegan, and the Nature's Own is as well....Show more
